It's Here!

I realize this photo may not be nearly as exciting to most of you as it is to me, but I just had to share. I received my passport in the mail last week. It only took two weeks! That seemed very fast to me. I was expecting 6-8 weeks. Since there are not too many things that we can do until we start our home study, this beautiful booklet is even more special to me. It is something I can tangibly hold and touch and feel that will get me one step closer to bringing our child home (one who is probably not yet born). And, since it's good for 10 years, it's one thing I won't have to think about later on. Now to get one for my husband.

One other thing that we are working on to get us a little closer to bringing our child home is fundraising. We have not started any fundraising "campaigns" or large endeavors, we are currently just collecting funds as we can to add to our adoption fund. Don't you worry, larger events will come in the future, such as a garage sale in September. I know this seems terribly far away to most, but I am a crazy planner, and if anyone that lives nearby would have items that you are planning on tossing out or getting rid of and could hold on to them until the summer, I would be glad to take them out of your way!

Besides my day job, and worship team, and youth group, and mother and wife, I am also a Mary Kay consultant. Currently all of my proceeds are going straight to our adoption fund. If you are interested in purchasing any Mary Kay products or browsing through a catalog, you can do so by clicking the links on the right. There are even products for men! If you have any questions about products you can contact me through my Mary Kay website.
