Auction time!

Our online auction to help raise funds for our adoption is finally here! To view the auction, click here: www.32auctions.com/mayesadoption. This link will take you directly to our auction. You can view items without creating an account, but in order to place a bid, you will need to create an account (like almost every other website these days) with your email address, a bidding username, and a password. Important note: once you've created an account you'll be sent an email and asked to verify your account by clicking the link in the email, then you'll be ready to bid! We have some great items available (some may have already caught some "sneak peaks"). The website only allows one small photo of each auction item, so I'm adding all auction items with their descriptions to this post so people can get a better look at each item. Original Wall Art: Thanks to my brother Caleb for this awesome picture! This picture features 4 pears with a dark background and black frame. Original photo is by Caleb Palmer. The picture is printed on double weight matboard and measures 16" h x 20" w, with the frame it is just over 18 x 22. A very classic piece that would go with any decor.

Authentic Korean Table Setting: A huge thank you to Kim Paul, someone I have never met and never even talked to but is originally from Korea and found out about our adoption and donated this beautiful table setting. This table set comes from the Korean homeland and is made from a silky-type of fabric. The set includes one table runner, 6 place mats, and 6 set of chopsticks with a matching fabric holder for the chopsticks. It is a gold/bronze and cream color with decorative flowers embroidered throughout.

Children's Stocking Stuffer "Basket": Just in time for Christmas! This set does not actually come in a basket to make it easier for shipping. Items are probably best suited for children ages 5-9, or perhaps you have several children to divide the items between as desired. Set includes: pack of construction paper, doodle pad, markers, crayons, loom bands, Go Fish card game, alphabet stencil, Biscuit book, sidewalk chalk, and glow bracelets.

Baby Girls Shoes/Headband Set: My sister-in-law, Courtney is becoming a sewing extraordinaire (I'm sure she would balk at that statement), but I personally love everything she makes. This handmade set includes a pair of slip-on shoes and matching head band. Size 0-6 months. The colors are purple and dark turquoise with matching flower on a lavender band.

Baby Boy Shoes/Bow Tie Set: Courtney also made this adorable little boy's set. Can't you just imagine your baby boy with that adorable little bow tie and matching shoes? This handmade set includes a pair of slip-on shoes and matching bow tie. Size 0-6 months. The pattern is brown with white stripes.

Baby Girl's Blanket: We are not done yet people. That's right, my amazing sister-in-law made yet another item! Isn't this the cutest? Handmade blankets are my favorite for my babies. This handmade baby blanket measures 35" x 36" and is the perfect addition for that new arrival, or soon to be. Colors feature Purple, light blue and green.

Family Photo Session: Who doesn't love family photos for the holidays? Jess Noelle Photography is offering a family photo session package including the following:

Custom Wall Vinyl Decal: Thanks to the wonderful manager at Scribbles and Scribes (Anna Swartzentruber) we're auctioning off TWO of these decal sets! Scribbles and Scribes will help you create a custom vinyl decal for your wall up to 36" x 22" (not including installation). Photo pictured is an example only.

Shabaka's Sermon: Yep, you read that right, the winner of this auction item gets to choose a scripture for Shabaka Williams to preach on at a Wednesday or Sunday church service!

Hand Crafted Boys Step Stool/Chair: A huge thank you to Donald Cowans who made this beautiful wood stool and to Shane Sedelmeier who painted it freelance. These step stools are currently sitting in my house waiting for a buyer, and I am seriously not sure I'm going to be able to part with this one. I've had to be especially careful that my almost-two-year-old doesn't see it. She saw it once and fell in love. This handcrafted child's step stool also turns into a chair. Child's Horse Riding Lessons: Lessons include 4 sessions of 1-hour riding lessons and instruction in horse care. Available for one child only, must be 8 years of age or older. Available for local residents only.

Homemade Strawberry Rhubarb Pie or Homemade Tiramisu. Mark and Robyn Lefler have provided two items for auctioning off. Choose the pie or the Tiramisu, or bid on both. You won't want to miss out on this, unfortunately this item is only available for local delivery/pick up (unless you're willing to drive to get it!).
